Enough

Drawing A Line In The Sand

I'm gonna talk about feeling small. There's so much about this world that is designed to make us feel small, to make us feel like our opinions don't matter, that we aren't valid for advocating for ourselves, for standing up for ourselves, for saying to someone or something enough. Saying to the world, ENOUGH.

Whether that as a person, as an artist, as a partner, as an employee, saying ENOUGH.

Standing up for yourself and standing on business when you're being treated in a way that doesn't see you as whole, as human.

When you are feeling like your voice or your perspective or your art is being undervalued or disrespected, you deserve the right to say yes, ENOUGH.

I think what has been happening since the election is that there are so many people that are just saying enough that have seen the way that this culture chooses to invalidate us to disrespect us to cause us harm to make us question our own existence. That it is okay to say ENOUGH.

Even if it costs your pocket. Even if it costs you status. Or connection. Or community. That saying ENOUGH is okay. In fact it's more than okay.

It is your right it is your privilege it is your responsibility and maybe by saying enough in that moment it will change someone else's life because it'll turn on a light bulb that says to someone or to an institution.

Oh, shit. I've been fucking up. I've been out of pocket. I've been centering my shit instead of respecting someone else's.

We all have that right and responsibility and that worthiness.

That's the Hallyu.

Peace.
